Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how MatchaTime (“MatchaTime”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website, booking pages, and scheduling services.
MatchaTime Privacy Policy
Effective date: January 30, 2026
1. Overview
MatchaTime is a scheduling platform that enables hosts to share booking links and manage meetings. This policy describes the categories of information we collect, the purposes for which we use it, and the choices available to you.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account holders (hosts)
When you create or manage an account, we may collect information such as your name, email address, and account identifiers (for example, an authentication provider user ID). You may also provide profile and booking page information.
If you connect Google Calendar, we may access calendar data necessary to provide scheduling features, including event timing and availability signals (busy/free), and attendee status for meetings created through MatchaTime.
2.2 Booking guests (public booking pages)
When a guest books a meeting via a MatchaTime booking link, we collect the information submitted in the booking form, such as name, email address, and meeting details. Booking a meeting does not create a MatchaTime account unless explicitly stated.
2.3 Automatically collected data
We may collect limited technical data (such as browser type, device type, IP address, and basic usage information) to help secure the service and maintain reliability.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to provide and operate MatchaTime, including to:
- Provide scheduling, booking, and availability features
- Authenticate users and secure accounts
- Send booking confirmations and service communications
- Improve performance, reliability, and prevent abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell personal information.
4. Google User Data
If you connect Google Calendar, MatchaTime requests access only to the data necessary to provide scheduling functionality. We do not use Google user data for advertising and do not sell Google user data.
MatchaTime’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5. Sharing of Information
We may share information with trusted service providers to help us operate MatchaTime, such as:
- Authentication providers (e.g., Clerk) to enable secure login
- Hosting providers (e.g., Vercel) to deliver the service
- Content and data infrastructure (e.g., Sanity) to store application data
These providers are permitted to process information only as necessary to provide services to us. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of MatchaTime and its users.
6. Data Retention
We retain information only as long as necessary to provide the service, support account functionality, and meet legal or security requirements. You may request deletion by contacting us.
7. Security
We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information, including secure authentication, encrypted connections (HTTPS), and restricted access controls. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
